This is an annual convention and conferences not limited to parades and festivals in Cleveland Fashion Week includes exhibitions, films, lectures and workshops on cultural and educational institutions of the city.
The wide range of educational opportunities have included a seminar that covers the form and function of the space suits of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Glenn Research Center, historic paper Ursuline College on the military's influence on fashion, the International Women's Air and Space Museum discussion of wasps in the first World War II and a special appearance by Cleveland architect and Tuskegee Airman Arthur Saunders. Arts & FWC educational programming of the culture was held at the Capitol Theatre and will be held in the gallery Chisholm Halle Costume Wing at the Western Reserve Historical Society in 2012.
Cleveland Fashion Show - Black Tie Gala is the FWC Grand Final featuring American designers. This event has academic and professional designers from across the United States. The event takes place Saturday, May 7, at the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum at the University of the circle.
